The Wise Man

“The Wise Man Doesn’t Give The Right Answers, He Poses The Right Questions.” ~Claude Levi-Strauss

There are questions we hear a lot.

Like, why is there so much hate in the world?

I don’t think I’ve ever heard the question,

Why is there so much Love in the world? Have you?

Where are those kinds of positive questions?

As I pondered this, I found some.

Why is there so much beauty in the world?

Why does taking a deep breath feel so refreshing?

Why does the first sip of something warm on a cold morning bring our eyes to close in comfort?

And, drinking something cold on a hot summer day moves our lips to smile?

Why does the sound of crickets soothe our minds to rest at night?

And the rustling of leaves brings peace to our moments?

Why is there joy in a child’s laughter?

And why does being around kittens and puppies make the child in us want to play?

Why is it when we gaze upwards do we feel as though our hearts received a beautiful lift?

We tend to ask why about all the negativity in this world and the answers always begin with: “Because we…” concluding with a magnitude of guilt with no results.

But what if we were to switch our question around to:

If I was to walk on this earth, just today, as The Presence of Love, what would so much Peace and Joy feel like?

And then, do it!

Afterward, write down the answer in your heart. Then, whenever a negative question about ourselves and the world presents itself again, and it will, you will be ready to move out of the way and allow Love to live through you. 🦋
